Archana Raja is a Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam artist, teacher, and choreographer based in the United States. With foundational training in Bharatanatyam under Guru Sheela Unnikrishnan and advanced studies with Renjith Babu, Vijna Vasudevan, and Kuchipudi under Kasi Aysola, she has performed at prestigious dance festivals worldwide, including Dubai, Ireland, New York, and India. Archana has collaborated with renowned choreographers like Dr. Anita Ratnam and Padmashri Shobana. She founded Laya School of Dance in 2019 and currently trains over 50 students across the U.S. and London. Archana has actively engaged in community outreach, conducting workshops in various locations, including California, London, and Washington DC, while also performing in notable productions such as “Through Fish Eyes” at Jacob’s Pillow and starring in the dance film *Mahabharata* with Navatman Dance. She has been recognized with awards such as the Natya Abhivriddhi and Nritya Ratna Awards and is a scholarship holder of CCRT for excellence in Indian classical dance.
